藝術是人們想像的投射，用以建構給心靈棲居的世界；而想像的靈感來源，又出自真實的經驗。藝研齋本次推出【幻‧真】畫展，以陳敏澤、趙梅兩位畫家風格相異的作品，呈現藝術虛實交錯、如真似幻的魅力。其中陳敏澤最新大型作品，寬、高各240公分、由4張畫布拼組成的「彩虹橋傳奇」，全憑畫家想像虛構的場景，卻帶著濃厚的台灣東部風情，讓人彷彿身歷其境；而另外一些取材自實景的作品，陳敏澤又以慣用的誇張濃烈色彩，賦予它們夢幻浪漫的特殊風情。不同於陳敏澤的戲劇化表現，趙梅以平實而細膩的畫風，賦予日常景色瀟灑優美的情調；讓人體悟在生活中發現美好，並不是什麼難事。
ArtDen is pleased to present Fantasy / Reality, a joint exhibition by Min-Tse Chen and May Chao, on view from May 24 – June 28, 2014.
Art is the projection of people’s imagination, in which a world is constructed for our spirits to settle. And the source, or inspiration of imagination, is from our experiences in real life. This exhibition features two artists in different themes and styles: Chen’s imaginary world in theatrical and romantic expression of colors along with Chao’s simple but fine ways of depicting daily scenes; the mixture of fantasy and reality shows how fascinating art is.
Besides, Min-Tse Chen’s brand new large acrylic painting “The Rainbow Bridge” is the centerpiece of the show. Assembled by four canvases, this 240x240 cm painting takes almost a whole wall, presenting a vivid, majestic view of mountains and valleys, very eastern-Taiwan look, yet all composed by the artist’s imagination. It’s a wonderful example of the power of art.
